Louis Icart (1888-1950) France. This 1922 Louis Icart vertically orientated etching and aquatint and with touches of hand colouring onto the printed on woven paper has been carefully placed in a high quality frame (795mm x 650mm). The exposed work is contained within an oval area of a little over 483mm High x 330mm Wide. The actual whole rectangular sheet size is almost 610mm High x just over 458mm Wide. There is no damage to this work, and no foxing or discolouring, The colours to the camera are less distinctive to what the naked eye can see in the work. Louis Icart etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the fabulous art deco period. Creating well over 500 etchings Louis Icart used a combination techniques including etchings and dry point with hand colouring well depicted in many books of Louis Icart work.
